Hello O-Towners!
What up? It's O-Town here! We just returned from our trip to the UK (we had a TOTAL blast!) and what can we say except THANK YOU! We are sending you all a BIG shout-out for making our first week at radio with "I Showed Her" a HUGE success. Because of your hard work we were the #1 MOST ADDED song this week at Top 40 Radio! Guess you heard that already ;-) !!
WE ARE SO EXCITED!
We have ALL OF YOU to thank for putting us on TOP!
We (myself, Ashley, Jacob, Erik and Trevor) are as excited as you are about getting another song out to our fans, but we wanted to remind all of you that the emails, requests and calls you send to your local radio stations make a BIG impact on getting our music played. We know a lot of you are "very connected" and take your work very seriously. We are extremely grateful!
We appreciate you taking the time to contact the stations to make yourvoices heard, but remember that sometimes TOO MANY requests can jeopardize our chances of getting played, especially to stations that haven't officially "added" the single to their playlist. We want "I Showed Her" heard on as many stations as possible, in as many cities as possible! I guess we just need to be careful that we aren't driving the stations who aren't playing the single (yet!) too crazy...in the days to come we hope that every station on the map is playing "I Showed Her" (thanks to your hard work ;-)) and than you can call or email them all!!
So we challenge you to tackle those stations who are really PLAYING our record and prove to all the other stations that THEY have a hit on their hands! Please don't think we are asking you to "turn off your fire", we are just asking you guys to cool down just a little bit :-)
We need you guys! You are the BEST, most dedicated online street team there is!

HAPPY NEW YEAR STREET TEAMERS.........WHAT'S GOIN ON EVERYBODY. We hope you all rung in the new year with a bang. We did.......(kinda).......I don't know if you guys caught it.... WAIT..... WHAT THE HECK ARE WE SAYING?!?!.....of course you caught us on DICK CLARK ROCK 'N NEW YEARS and in the Rose Bowl Parade.
BEING IN THE PARADE (thats the cool part).......BAD PART....they make you get up a 4:30 in the morning to get to the parade on time. So needless to say we all got to bed relatively early.....we all needed our beauty sleep for the next day. A MILLION PEOPLE SHOWED UP TO WATCH THE PARADE PASS.......GOOD LORD THATS A LOT OF PEOPLE.
Anyway......IT'S 2003.....AND WE CAN'T BELIEVE IT. We our very, VERY excited to get to the new year goin right. 2002 was cool..... and we definitely appreciate you guys headin out to support the new album and THESE ARE THE DAYS.......YOU GUYS ALWAYS GO ABOVE AND BEYOND. We're pushin to make the new year even better than the last. So first things first, the new single....... drumroll please......(can you hear it?) I SHOWED HER.......hits radio on January 27.......THATS RIGHT-JANUARY 27. There are alot of you already convinced that it could be our BIGGEST HIT YET.
Coming up for us though......We're doing a charity event in Orlando on the 11th.....and then the day after that.......WE GET TO SING THE NATIONAL ANTHEM AT THE SAN FRANSISCO 49ER VS. TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS PLAYOFF GAME ON SUNDAY.... needless to say, we can't wait for that. OTHER THAN THAT...... Trevor's been playing alot of golf.... he's got to practice up so he doesn't embarrass us all in the BOB HOPE GOLF CLASSIC at the end of the month. Jacob has been spending plenty of quality time with Janie and everyone's favorite pet......... DRUMROLL again....... ABBY THE MONKEY..... Dan, Erik, and Ashley have been spending time with their families and relaxing a little. But we're all READY TO GET BACK OUT ON TOUR...... SO STAY ON THE LOOKOUT FOR TOUR DATES AND UPCOMING APPEARANCES....

WHAT'S UP TO THE OTOWN STREET TEAM ARMY-
Lets just start off by saying happy late Thanksgiving to everybody!! We hope you all stuffed yourselves full of gravy baby, YEAH!!!! On Thanksgiving day we all flew from our hometown's to NYC where we performed "THESE ARE THE DAYS" and "CRAVING" on Good Morning America.....GMA also feels sort of like a second home to us now.
Now that the cold weather is here we can't wait for snow!!!! A few of us are snowboarders (Ashley, Jacob) and the rest of us just want to have the biggest snowball fight of all time......wanna come?
Just to keep you all updated on the progress of our current single "THESE ARE THE DAYS"....the song continues to rapidly climb the charts!!!!! KEEP REQUESTING IT FROM YOUR LOCAL RADIO DJ's!!!! All of your support is mad appreciated...KEEP GOING YA'LL ROCK-
NEW YEARS EVE IS ALMOST HERE!!!! The year 2003 promises to be the biggest year for OTOWN yet!!! Make sure to watch us perform on 'Dick Clark's Rockin' New Years Eve' and we'll all bring in the New Year together. Erik has decided that for X-MAS he wants a Harley Davidson motorcycle.....we told him that he probably won't be getting that gift in the mail from any fans!!! Our biggest wish is that we can spend X-MAS with our families.

I sent a newsletter at the end of last week that is now floating

WUZ GOIN ON EVERYBODY!!!!! We wanted to start out by thanking everybody again for your tremendous support of O2. Everyone in our camp and everyone up at J Records are really happy with the sales of the album and the progress of the single. I hope that by this point ya'll have seen the video but we could still use a couple extra phone calls to TRL.just yesterday Erik caught Dan making calls over to MTV.but SHHHHH.don't tell anybody. We would love to be battling for that top spot if we could. So don't any of you get discouraged, we're all REALLY excited and ready to keep working hard for you guys.

are selling albums out of the trunks of their cars. JUST KIDDING.. we'll see you guys soon.

ONE OF THE COOLEST things about what we do is how many incredible people we get to meet. It is early Monday morning and we are all in our dressing rooms here at the "Wayne Brady Show." One of our favorite T.V. shows is "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" which of course Wayne Brady is an actor on.....he is such a great comedian....HE IS HILARIOUS!! Can you guess what song we are performing...OK three guesses using multiple choice......Is it....
a) From The Damage
b) Craving
c) a cover of BAHA MENS "Who Let The Dogs Out?"...(joking)
The correct answer was NONE OF THE ABOVE!! We are performing "THESE ARE THE DAYS" you silly rabbits.....and for those of you who guessed c) a cover of BAHA MENS "Who Let The Dogs Out" you should be ashamed of yourself.......I mean possibly we might cover Lou Bega's "Mambo #5"......but THE BAHA MEN......shame, shame on you.
IT HAS ONLY BEEN A WEEK SINCE THE RELEASE of 02' and we are getting such great feedback. Fans have come up to us and said that among their favorites on the album the tracks that stand out to them are: Suddenly, Craving, The Joint and From The Damage.....but who can pick their favorite??? We have a real hard time because we enjoy the whole album so much.
Guess who showed up at the album release party??? JANET JACKSON!!!!
Again, we get to meet so many cool people it is a blessing that we never stop appreciating.

Already the reaction to 02' is CRAZY...WE REPEAT....CRAZY!!!!! Last night the album release party was OUT OF CONTROL!! WE wanted to celebrate all night long but we had to wake up at 7:00 a.m. so we took it easy (no stage-diving)!!! Lots of fans from all over the world were there!! We did our best to take pictures with as many as we possibly could!! Fans came all the way from GERMANY- Trevor went to sleep the latest and could barely keep his eyes open!! We are lucky to have some family here in NYC with us to PARTY IT UP and keep us going- All of the fans are keeping our spirits up too...WHO NEEDS SLEEP WHEN YOUR FANS ARE ALWAYS SO EXCITED TO SEE YOU!! If you don't have your own personal copy of the album when you get one make sure to read the PERSONAL "THANK YOU'S"....we gave ya'll a shout out!

THE DAY IS HERE!!!! ALBUM RELEASE TIME!!!..OTOWN'S 02' IS OFFICIALLY EVERYWHERE IN THE U.S>>>>(jumping up and down!) As we write you this letter we are driving back in a large black van from one of the largest radio stations in the world... Z100 IN NEW YORK CITY!! We performed two songs live on the morning show! The studio was packed full of fans as we performed un-plugged versions of ALL OR NOTHING and THESE ARE THE DAYS!!! After we finished singing the response was exactly what we have been working so hard for. Elvis Duran, the Z100 morning DJ, came on the air and said, "Now listeners THAT WAS NOT A RECORDING!!" He commented that our vocal performance was incredible and thanked each of us for coming on and singing so good so gosh darn early in the morning!!! (we hate the Mornings...erik and ashley in particular)
We don't want to beat this thing to death BUT FOR REAL OUR ALBUM IS IN STORES THIS VERY SECOND!!! We are so excited to be spending this moment of achievement with all of you. In fact, you....YES YOU READING THIS EMAIL!!!!.....as members of the STREET TEAM play a VERY, VERY important role.....ESPECIALLY RIGHT THIS MINUTE.

THE SECONDS ARE TICKING!!!!......THE MOMENT HAS FINALLY, FINALLY, FINALLY COME!!! -TOMORROW MORNING 02' WILL BE IN STORES EVERYWHERE!! We finished the OTOWN ROCKS 02' tour in BOSTON on Saturday... that place was crazy!!! Wall-to-wall fans and just plain INSANITY!!!! We love the response we are getting from the fans! The songs we showcased the most were T.A.T.D. (can u guess what that stands for?) From the Damage, Suddenly, The Joint and Craving. FINALLY TOMORROW EVERYONE CAN LISTEN TO THEM AT HOME... let us know what your favorites are ok?
This morning OTOWN performed on 'Regis and Kelly'!!!...... T.A.T.D. and From the Damage.....Both Regis and Kelly were so excited to have us back (that show is like a second home to us now!) and they loved the new material- Make sure to check out backstage pics from Ashley's camera on the website next week.

Wednesday marked our return to the TRL COUNTDOWN as the MTV STUDIOS welcomed us back with A PACKED AUDIENCE WHO'S EXCITEMENT WAS OUT OF CONTROL!! It felt so good to be back there where it all started so long ago with LIQUID DREAMS.....We have all grown so much together!!!!!!

Thursday we wanted to send a STREET TEAM love letter to ya'll but we barely had time to eat!!!! The 02' listening party was off the hook in CLEVELAND!!! Fans have been buying pre-copies of the album so that they can be the first to GET IT AUTOGRAPHED. Everyone is promising not to burn it off the internet so that we can sell as many copies as possible when 02' HITS STORES THIS TUESDAY!!!!!!!! The more we sell the faster we can launch our 02' tour and come visit your hometowns!!! All of you as members of the fast-growing OTOWN STREET TEAM can play a HUGE role in helping us!!! As we write this we are sitting together on an airplane that is
headed to L.A. for FRIDAY NIGHTS HARD ROCK CAFE 02' LISTENING PARTY!!!! KISS FM will be broadcasting live with JOJO on the radio. So heads up to L.A. based STREET TEAM MEMBERS to be there early!!! We have been working really hard to spend as much time with the fans as we can......Thursday we woke up in NEW YORK CITY, hung out with the fans in CLEVELAND at the Hard Rock, ate lunch with some fans in the MISSOURI airport, and fell asleep in LOS ANGELES!!! The clock is ticking.....the TIME HAS ALMOST COME......'02' IS ONLY A FEW DAYS AWAY....This week we are flying sometimes as much twice a day to each city on our "OTOWN ROCKS 02 TOUR". The response in MIAMI, FLORIDA was phenomenal..... fans were buzzing with questions and excitement.....we couldn't have been more at home there with all of our loyal followers plus a lot of new faces.....Today, Chicago's HARD ROCK CAFE was completely PACKED!!!!!
If this is WEDNESDAY that you are reading this then TURN ON MTV's TRL to watch us debut "THESE ARE THE DAYS"!!!! We have been screening the NEW VIDEO on our OTOWN ROCKS 02' TOUR and you guys are lovin' it as much as we do- Heads up to our L.A. based STREET TEAM- We are coming in late THURSDAY NIGHT TO BE THERE FRIDAY at the Hard Rock Cafe!!!! This week is going to be crazy for us but be checking your emails for updates on where we are and how little sleep we are getting!!

We are on a roll here with our STREET TEAM LOVE LETTERS, huh?? So last night we all get home from a long day of vocal practice with our vocal coach DOC HOLIDAY (you remember him from MTB) and we just start chillin' out.....every once in awhile a trick or treater would stop by and well.... apparently ERIK forgot it was HALLOWEEN and started to think that a lot of fans were stopping by!!!...A LOT MORE THAN USUAL!!!! When he realized that he had forgot it was HALLOWEEN we were all laughing because of how much we lose track of time...... SERIOUSLY!!!
Today we are working out the choreography on track number 8 of the album titled "THE JOINT" that ERIK wrote....it is a southern rock/hip-hop up-tempo dance track if you can imagine that but you will HEAR IT NEXT WEEK ON THE PREVIEW TOUR- We have been eating SUBWAY sandwiches about 3 times a day and we really need a home cooked meal right about now!!! Only 11 days to the album is out!!!

CALLING ALL OTOWN STREET TEAM MEMBERS!!
HAPPY HALLOWEEN to everyone and we hope that your TRICK OR TREATING rewards you with enough sugar to last the rest of the year....or at least until the next OTOWN tour!!!!
This week it is pretty much the same schedule for us- singing, playing, dancing... practicing and then some more practicing followed by a little more practicing....Ashley just got a new digital camera so we have been taking tons of pictures that we are trying to post on the OTOWN website for everyone to see. This way you can peek into our rehearsals and check it out......
This last weekend the five of us were all in San Diego for Jacob's wedding to Janie!!! IT WAS SO INCREDIBLE!! Abby (Jake and Jane's monkey) was also there and dressed up for the occasion... Jacob's song "Meant For You" that was featured on Making The Band was playing as they walked up the aisle and they were married just as the sun was setting...... CONGRATULATIONS to Jacob and Janie and for all of you who have a childhood sweetheart.....there really is such a thing as a picture perfect ending!

HERE WE ARE all the way from EUROPE writing you to say that we are only WEEKS AWAY FROM NOVEMBER 12th and it is driving us up the wall. As the five of us have been performing "These Are The Days" on television shows across Germany, we have finally been given the first actual copies of 02'. TO ACTUALLY BE HOLDING THE ALBUM IN OUR HANDS AND TO NOT BE ABLE TO SHOW IT TO ANYONE IS MAKING US CRAZY!!!
"These Are The Days" the video is almost ready to be released but meanwhile keep doing what you all do best by requesting the song on your radio stations because EVERY WEEK THE SONG IS GETTING PLAYED MORE AND MORE!! We wanted to say congratulations to Emily our STREET TEAM CONTEST WINNER and we had fun talking with Emily and her family last weekend. We called her from Dan's cellphone on our lunch break from rehearsals and visited as long as we could before getting to back to rehearsing. It is important for us to let you know that as our STREET TEAM we are always going to share a personal relationship that not just anyone does. You have a more intimate connection with us and we are dedicated to writing you letters at least once a week in order to give you info about the group you couldn't get anywhere else. All of us are so tired right now because we haven't adjusted to the time in Germany... especially Jacob. We lay awake all night in our hotel rooms because when it is night time here it is still like 2:00 o' clock in the afternoon back at home....We are headed to ORLANDO in a few days to start rehearsals for our tour.... meanwhile we will keep you posted on when the video is going to drop!!

Just yesterday at Z100's radio station in NEW YORK CITY.the radio DJ was like,"I have to tell you guys you have an incredible STREET TEAM because the second we added your song to the radio the phones didn't stop ringing!".This song is off to a better start than "All Or Nothing" because of your hard work..people are falling in love with the song already because it is tells such a great story JUST LIKE THE VIDEO WILL!!!!!!! We're finally shooting the VIDEO for THESE ARE THE DAYS!!! As we write this we are all in our Los Angeles hotel room reading over the script and we have to say it looks like it could be the BEST OTOWN VIDEO YET!!!. We realize that all of you have been waiting patiently and WE PROMISE TO MAKE IT UP TO YOU! Today is the official release date of THESE ARE THE DAYS to all radio stations across the U.S. So.....even if you live in Fargo, North Dakota YOU SHOULD CALL AND REQUEST IT ON YOUR LOCAL RADIO STATION!!!....All those radio DJ's don't stand a chance against the power of the STREET TEAM....One thing that has amazed us is that even despite the fact that 02' was supposed to hit stores last Spring, YOU HAVE ALL STOOD BY US AND SUPPORTED US THROUGH EVERY TWIST AND TURN IN OUR CAREERS....we still feel that you are the best fans in the galaxy and we think that when you FINALLY PUT O2' in your CD PLAYERS....YA'LL ARE GONNA TRIP!!

Whats goin on everybody.....
We are all very excited. We've been in the studio working very hard writing, recording and producing this album that we've pushed back so many times. The songs that we're coming out of the studio with are crazy and we can't wait for you guys to hear it. However, we did push the album back one last time to mid October. For all the latest updates you can finally go check out the new and improved www.o-town.com which was revamped for 02.
Believe it or not, even though we have no music out right now, we're still really busy. The traveling has been just as intense because we've been all over the country working with producers and doing one off shows. In a couple days we'll be heading to Germany to attend the VIVA awards where we're nominated in 2 categories....so keep your fingers crossed.
So again, thank you so much for the support without any material in the market. We owe this new album to you all the truly loyal fans. So checkout the new www.o-town.com and watch out for the album in mid oct.

DEAR OTOWN STREET TEAMERS-
HEY!! We want to send our love to all of you out there who attended the OTOWN O2 SNEAK PREVIEW TOUR!! We will miss being up onstage for a few weeks as we focus all of our attention on finishing O2!! As you've probably heard we have decided to push our album back a few more weeks to MAKE IT EVEN BETTER THAN IT ALREADY WAS (be at your local record store OCTOBER 1st)---Our 2nd album will without a shadow of a doubt be the best collection of songs that will represent who we are....WE ARE AS ANXIOUS AS YOU ARE!!! Today we are recording a song called "Suddenly" co-written by Ashley and produced by Matthew Wilder who has worked with artists such as NO DOUBT, and P. DIDDY. We are at his studios in the sunny hills of Southern California. We have also been song writing with Linda Perry who recently produced the PINK album.....all of us are now working
harder than ever to finish the last few songs.
We performed the NELLY track "FAVORITE GIRL" at our NICKELEDEON SUMMER CONCERT SPECIAL and the fans there were singing along by the 2nd CHORUS. There are those of you who let us know that you belonged to THE STREET TEAM by either large, colorful posters..or in person....and we can't THANK YOU enough for standing by us in our journey towards O2. By the way, TREVOR was at the MEN IN BLACK II premiere last night and says to all of you that "it's even better than the first!!"

We have seen so many of you out on tour. Don't get us wrong....we love to see all of our fans....but we can't help it if we are a little overly friendly with our STREET TEAM. At this moment we are in the STUDIO IN MIAMI with our boy ALI DEE and he says to say that "the joint is hot...off the chain".....we are RE-singing some vocals on a track called " A GIRL LIKE THAT" (getting it perfect... that's a song that Ashley, Trevor, Dan and Rich Cronin co-wrote)
It's hot as YOU KNOW WHAT down here... unfortunately there were no recording studios on the beach. Well, all of us are starving so we are going to eat lunch....Sub sandwiches and juice...you know us,
were easy to please.
Check your email frequently because as the album approaches its release -- AUGUST 27th -- we will be keeping everyone informed of the latest info-- in a nutshell, we will be writing more love letters.

WE WERE PLAYING WITH IDEAS AND THAT ONE JUST STUCK.
.....O2......catchy huh? NOT ONLY IS IT THE YEAR OUR SOPHOMORE RECORD WILL HIT SHELVES ALL OVER THE WORLD (2002) IT JUST MAKES SENSE THAT OTOWN'S 2ND ALBUM WILL BE CALLED SIMPLY.....O2.
AS WE WRITE THIS WE ARE AT A RECORDING STUDIO IN ORLANDO FLORIDA SINGING OUR HEARTS OUT AND PUTTING FINAL TOUCHES ON SEVERAL SONGS THAT YOU WILL HERE WITHIN A MATTER OF WEEKS!! WE HAVE PUT TOGETHER WHAT WE ARE CALLING THE "OTOWN O2 PREVIEW TOUR".....it starts MAY 15th and it is the only way to hear new OTOWN songs before THE ALBUM RELEASE IN JULY.
THIS IS THE MOST EXCITED WE HAVE EVER BEEN AND WHAT MAKES IT EVEN BETTER IS KNOWING THAT WE HAVE ALL OF YOU STREET TEAM MEMBERS SUPPORTING US AND BELIEVING IN US EVERY STEP OF THE WAY. ERIK AND TREVOR ARE LOOKING AT THE PICTURES FROM OUR ALBUM PHOTO SHOOT...THEY'RE REALLY COOL.....WE TOOK THEM IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA ON THE BEACH IN MALIBU....WE THINK YOU'LL LIKE THEM A LOT.
AS SOME OF YOU MAY KNOW WE'VE DECIDED TO TAKE A BREAK FROM FILMING A 4TH SEASON OF MAKING THE BAND SO THAT WE COULD CONCENTRATE MORE ON OUR MUSIC. WE FELT THAT WE COULDN'T DEVOTE AS MUCH TIME AS WE NEEDED TO MAKE A GREAT ALBUM WITHOUT THE TV SHOW SUFFERING...SO WE HAD TO CHOOSE. DON'T BE SAD, THAT DOESN'T NECESSARILY MEAN THAT THERE WON'T EVER BE ANOTHER MAKING THE BAND!! ACTUALLY, WE MIGHT BE IN THE GUINNESS BOOK OF WORLD RECORDS FOR THE LONGEST RUNNING REALITY TV SHOW WITH THE SAME CAST!!....NOW IT IS TIME FOR US TO CONCENTRATE ON WHAT IT HAS REALLY BEEN ABOUT FROM THE VERY BEGINNING....THE MUSIC.

CALLING ALL STREET TEAM MEMBERS-
THE ALBUM IS ALMOST DONE!!!! We can't wait for you to hear it either.....you know what this means right?.... VERY SOON we will be SHOOTING THE VIDEO and heading out on tour to come hang out with you in your hometowns. We are still in SUNNY CALIFORNIA where TREVOR and JACOB have been close enough to home to actually spend some time there with their families. If we have a morning off you can find JACOB on the beach with his surfboard and wetsuit---TREVOR is all over the place and we usually need a satellite tracking system to find him. Actually, both Ash and Trevor just recently stopped by Trevor's hometown high school and performed at the PEP RALLY with the principal and two teachers.....(it was a dance to ALL4LOVE......)
Erik and Dan have been busy touching up vocals on a song called "I Showed Her" which is a ballad we recently recorded with SHEP CRAWFORD, who is an incredible songwriter and has worked a lot with BOYZ II MEN plus too many others to list.
We wanted to write you and let you know that this album is almost.....FINALLY DONE!! We are singing as fast as we can to finish it for you.......we send our love and we will talk to you soon.......SINCERELY....-US

DEAR STREET TEAM MEMBERS-
IT'S BEEN WAY TOO LONG SINCE WE'VE WRITTEN!!!! By now your all probably wondering to yourselves what in the world has been happening recently and this is gonna take a big breath and a really long run-on sentence SO HERE WE GO.....
We just recently got back from our European tour where all of us learned to speak a little German, came back with suitcases splitting open at the seams full of souvenirs, and on the last day of our very last performance Ashley slipped off a stage in front of about 15,000 German fans because of some water and had to walk around all of the airports on the flight home with one of those travel pillows for planes strapped to his neck---then, we began recording in Los Angeles where the 2nd OTOWN ALBUM IS FINALLY COMING TOGETHER!....(no one is more excited than we are)....followed by a very busy schedule of finishing our demos and songs we have written....... AND getting ready to go out on tour again in MAY BEFORE OUR ALBUM COMES OUT JULY 9TH!!!......phew, there we said it.
Now that we are back in America and we have adjusted to the time again (for a while we were sleeping all day and staying up all night) we will be in touch a lot more.....we send our love to all of the fans who have been writing us constantly to let us know we were missed while we were away from home. We certainly missed you!
